TIGER-tunities Club

​

Tiger-tunities is an organization offered to scholars at North Clayton Middle School. The purpose of the organization is to help youths develop personal growth and life skills promote community service and creativity.

Learn life skills through leadership and character development.

Students will be encouraged to create character building apparel, tumblers, etc. and exercise the business aspects of economics.

Students will learn the importance of building a community, giving back, and making a difference in their community.

How do I join?

​

Students who wish to join must have outstanding grades and a positive attitude!

Students must having passing grades in all classes and no disciplinary behavioral issues.

Students can request an application from Mrs. Barnes, the Social Studies Connection Teacher.

What should a student expect?

​

Becoming a member of Tiger-tunities, students will expect to build character through mentoring and engaging activities. Students can spend time in the Tiger Connect Student Center where they can socialize and learn character-building skills.  Students will learn responsibility, work ethic, problem solving, teamwork and more! Throughout the semester, students will create marketable items and sale. Earnings collected will allow for rewards such as field trips to local entertainment, sports activities, taste of foods and much more.

Tiger Connect Student Center

​

The Tiger Connect Student Center is located on the Connections Hall room 131. The center is open during Block 1, Block 5, lunch hours and afterschool. Within the center, students can enjoy board games, card games, music, books, movies, and other monthly activities. During weekly meetings as a group, we will discuss creative business ideas, character building, life skills and community service opportunities.  Students will display their ideas created throughout the center for sale.

TIGER DEN ACTIVITIES

 

Students who are not members of the club will have the opportunity to participate in weekly activities sponsored on behalf of the selected members. Each week we will host an event based on grade level. Selected participates will be invited to join based on their grades, behavior and recommendation from their teacher. Let's be on our best behavior and prepared each day for school. Come Join the Fun!
